Feb 05, 2024

Prince Harry is reportedly feeling "hurt and confused" as his wife Meghan Markle ditched her infamous engagement ring to get the £156k diamond accessory repaired

Prince Harry is reportedly "hurt and confused" after Meghan Markle was seen without her famous engagement ring. The Duchess of Sussex removed the ring to get it repaired and was pictured with her wedding band still in place, but Harry is reportedly "confused" as to why the engagement ring hasn't been temporarily replaced.

"All Meghan is doing by going out without her engagement ring is fuelling the rumours that she and Harry are having marriage troubles which Harry is absolutely baffled by," sources revealed. "He's been feeling anxious that she's trying to send some kind of message to him.

The Duchess of Sussex's absent pricy piece of jewellery is made up of two diamonds from one of Princess Diana 's bracelets, with Prince Harry said to have asked his brother Prince William's permission to use them for the £156k accessory. However, the former Suits star, 41, was snapped without the ring as she enjoyed a birthday lunch with two friends.

"She's saying it's simple a case of waiting for her engagement ring to be repaired because it's in with the jewellers, which is true, but Harry doesn't understand why she won't wear something else from her extensive jewellery collection in its place. He's confused and hurt," the insider told Closer magazine.

It comes as rumours continue to circulate that Meghan and Harry have hit a tough patch in their relationship. Rumours spread that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's five year marriage was coming to an end after Prince Harry released his memoir Spare and these only continued when he was seen going on a solo trip to Africa.

Many speculated that Meghan was upset and concerned by the allegations included in the novel, and that was why she did not join Harry in multiple high-profile interviews promoting the memoir.

However, this isn't said to be the case and it's reported the pair are "fed up" with the accusations. A source told OK! the couple weren't impressed with the negative claims about the nature of their marriage and insisted that Harry and Meghan have a strong foundation and are determined to work through any potential obstacles.

The insider told the news outlet: "The Sussexes’ marriage is fine," and added: "Even if there were struggles, Harry would want to make it work. He has invested so much time into their relationship and adores his family. Coming from a broken home himself, that’s extra motivation for him to keep his family together."
